    Default Q zone hoop frame

Does anyone use the grace q-zone hoop frame and if so how do you like it? I’m considering purchasing it to use with my Janome 8900 which has an 11 inch throat. Thanks in advance for any input.

I have a friend who has one with a 15" Dream Quilter midarm. She doesn't like it because she is has to unclamp the quilt so frequently to reach another area, and she says that the clamps keep popping off the frame when she puts any tension on the quilt. She is considering switching to a sit down machine. This is just one person's experience; YMMV.

Look at the videos Leah Day has online for the Q Zone frame. She has several, and, I believe, is a dealer for that frame. She moves the quilt around pretty easily to quilt a large quilt....but I wouldn't want to do it if I could possibly make room for a bigger frame. (I have a 10' longarm frame).

The other thing to consider is whether your machine's 11" throat will allow you to do the type of quilting you want to do on a frame.
