I saw that my LQS will be having a "class" for the Qbot. As they are now resellers for the Qbot. Basically, I'd consider this a demo and it costs $20 per person. Is this a common practice, to charge for a demo? I think it's rather odd to pay someone to try to sell me something  Of course if you call it a class then I guess you can!

O my .. haven't encountered this.. not sure I would be willing to pay for a demo personally. I am currently shopping for Longarm's.. I certainly wouldn't pay to try it out.

I would imagine that the $20 is for supplies..so that you can actually use the Qbot to make a project that you can keep...

No project mentioned. Just that you'd get to see it in action and someone from the company would give the "class". I simply think it's a glorified way of charging for a demonstration. Shoot, they should pay me $20 to sit through it;>

If you bought one, I bet they'd credit you the $20.
