Question A question about Bailey Island Bag, is it a quilt as you go? sort of?

Have been looking at the Bailey Island bag, it is very nice. On looking at it and from a question asked here, is it done as a quilt as you go, and no lining is necessary? Or does it have a lining? Pretty pastel colors for sure. Thanks.

I have the pattern for the Bailey Island Hobo Bag and it's NOT a quilt as you go. You cover a piece of batting and it's done much the same way as the covered closeline bags but using batting instead.

I saw the bag too, and thought it was similar to a QAYG design I made last year..the foundation was the liner in the bag I made.... made several with different size strings or strips. When done I finished the interior seams by zigzagging.I also thought about using binding on the seams, but never got to trying that.

Pat625, I have done a Cotton QAYG and liked it, although it is heavy, have wondered if it could be used to make a sturdy bag, just never had a chance to do that, YET.lol
    Thanks for your answer.

Thanks for answers, I am going to a quilt store in the next couple of days, they had a class yesterday afternoon for this bag, so hopefully they will sell the pattern now. Sometimes when they do class, the pattern is not sold until the class is done.
