Default Question about Embroidery Sewing Machine

I found a Janome Memory Craft 300 on Craigslist and bought it. So I am starting to explore its uses and such and need some opinions and ideas. Can it be used as a straight sewing machine or do you all who have these only use them for embroidery work? ... and .... am I going to have to get a bigger table to hold both machines? I can't see myself storing it in the box until I want to use it and then setting it up each time. I guess I'm wondering if this was a wise purchase .....

If this machine is a Janome 300e it is an embroidery-only machine,no straight sewing at all.

Leave it up...you will use it more..just put the cover over it when you aren't using it. If you have to set it up and put it away each time, you will use it less. (at least that is my opinion).

    I totally agree!
I don't have an embroidery machine ... but I kept my old machine to take to classes when I bought my new one. I had no intention of using it at home, then one day had it out and left it set up. I'm surprised how often I use it for a quick seam when I don't want to change the settings on my other machine ... or have a lazy moment and don't want to change the thread or foot!

Instead of a larger table ... perhaps a separate table would be more practical from the usage perspective?
