I am making a wall hanging and the prints I want to use for the border and binding I only have fat quarters of. How would you use these without it looking too pieced? Should I just reconsider and go buy a different yardage? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It might depend on your print. I have sewed a wedge in the center of each side when I didn't have enough length. It worked out very well

If it was mine - I would lay the fabric I have around the wall hanging and see if it looks too busy. After all the work you put into it you want it to look perfect- so If in doubt get the perfect fabric.

    I love this idea!

Without seeing a pic I would say maybe get yardage for what you need if you think what you have would bother you.
It really depends on the fabrics.

Thanks Mzzzquilts. I watched this and was blown away. Thank you. I really don't want to buy different colors because it took me too long to find the ones I have. They are both small prints so I think it will work. If I get it done I will try and post it. Sorry I couldn't post pics but I don't remember how my daughter showed me. Maybe she will come into town again soon or can talk me through it.
