I have the 505 which I use when machine embroidering. Do I use it to secure the batting to the flannel and again to secure the top? What do you do with the over-spraying? Should I surround the quilt w/newspaper? This is all new to me but willing to give it a try. Thanks for all of the responses.

What is so special about this baby is that she is being adopted by my granddaughter.

I use flannel a lot for quilt backs. I'm in the Elmer's glue baste camp. Never have a problem.

Michelle, please explain to be about the Elmer's glue baste. I am unsure how it works. How do you apply? Do you apply to the flannel as well as the batting before placing the quilt top? Will it wash out and if so, do I wash before giving as a gift? Thanks for your help
