Question Question about fold n stitch wreaths

I can be angle crazy at times. I am trying to makes a smaller candle mat/ wreath using something like fold n stitch method. My question is... can I Cut smaller squares and use a 30* sew line and still have it work out right?
My thinking is 12 sections at 30* is 360*
    Has anyone tried this?
    Thank You!

Cut out squares of construction paper, fold on the angle you think will work and see if they fit together in a circle and lay flat.

Good suggestion, Tartan, I would do the same. I actually did that to make the 3-d wreaths since the directions had me scratching my head.

QuiltnLady1 and Tartan, thank you sew much for the construction paper idea. I had never thought of that to test ideas. Brilliant!

When I watched the tutorial by Babs, she indicated that you need a 30 degree wedge for 12 blades to make it come out right.

I have made several wreaths and so have my friends using 12 - 5" squares for the front and back, 4 1/2 inch peltex and 3 3/4 inch appliqué squares.
