Default Question about fold and Stitch Wreath

I've had the pattern for the fold and Stitch Wreath for a while now...it sit's in the sewing room looking at me all the time. Now the Bosal Stabilizer has arrived and I'm wondering if the stabilizer is the same as the head liner material that guys purchase from JoAnn's when redoing a car or truck. Anyone know why the headliner material wouldn't work....outside of the fact that it's not fusible? Got to be a way around that issue!!

I used heat-n-bond lite and Deco bond and had no problems. The deco bond is used a lot for making totes. It's thicker than the heat and bond. I fused the deco bond to the back fabric and the heat n bond to the other two fabrics. The deco bond gives it some weight and it layers flat. Both are at Joanns

I don't remember any board member of using head lining material in making one of these 3D table mats.

Why do you want around the issue of using Bosal? It's a good product and excellent for the folding wreaths.

fruitloop......I figured that with a 50% coupon you could get more (stabilizer) material for your money to make wreaths. Thought the Bosal was a little expensive.

I used headliner in my wreath and other projects like purses. It works great. I don't know the price at Joann's as I have another source for it.

I have the patterns for the wreaths and when I do get around to making them, I will use what is suggested atleast for the first few patterns. Only after I am comfortable will I try something else. It's like trying a recipe. Follow the original the first couple/ few times then tweak it the way you want. The stabilizer is to help with the texture/stiffness required so it doesn't collapse if you want it to stand up while displayed. Who wants a fallen down centerpiece?
