question about a Janome 6500p
I have the opportunity to buy a Janome memory craft 6500p machne. I do not know how old it is ....question is - what would be a good price to put out for it? Am I correct that this model machine was first sold in 2003 and was discontinued in 2010 when the 6600 came out? If so, it could be almost 9 years old.....I've heard these are real workhorses and I don't really need a machine but it looks like a great opportunity for me.....
I know it has been used until recently (owner has died), so I'm not too concerned about whether it works or not.
Any info on this machine would be helpful....Thanks!!

If you don't really need it, then why get it?
I just got a MC6600 in the fall ... the dealer still had new MC6500s available, which is what I first started looking at.
Once I looked at the specs, it was an easy decision to skip the 6500 and go for the 6600 because of the features that I would not have got in the 6500.
Go to Janome's site and you can easily see the specs for all their models and decide whether it suits your needs or not.
