I have recently returned to quilting after a several-years hiatus. I've been learning the lingo: jelly rolls, hst, charms, layer cakes, etc. but I haven't figured out this mystery train thing! Is it like a BOM, and who's the organizer (conductor?)?

Do they start at any particular time of the year or on any schedule? I'd prefer to start at the beginning so it is a true "mystery" project. Thanks for the info.

I don't generally participate in the swaps and sew alongs... but it seems there is almost always something just starting. you could PM the train leader to see when the next one would start if that one is of special interest to you

Judy indicated that she was taking a break and the next one would be posted on the above mentioned thread when she decided to do another one.

I for one am eagerly awaiting another!
