    Default Question about Pfaff 7570

I just purchased a Pfaff 7570 in very good condition. The hand wheel, however, seems unusually hard to turn, even when beginning to sew. I own an older Pfaff, and it moves with ease. Can you share your experiences? Thank you.

I have one. Never had trouble with the wheel. I'd take it into a dealer for a check up.

I think you just need to oil it. Oil the stem where it turns.

I have a 7510. Have never had a problem with the hand wheel. I would take it to a shop for a good cleaning.

It 'could' have thread wound inside. That
s what I tho't was wrong w/my Babylock, but dealer said it needed new lower shaft gear...said not made anymore. Well, I searched and found one for $75 new, and waiting for the machine to die before having it installed. It has been 3 yrs now and still chugging along. Wheel is still tight but I handle it. Hope yours just needs oil!
OH, just wondering if you have service manual to guide you how to take the wheel off to ck ?

These machines are notorious for getting thread tangled in the take-up lever. You can see, by taking the top off of the machine.
