I now have three Pfaffs. My oldest does not have IDF and it is in its case in the back of the closet. I LOVE IDF and probably use it way more than necessary.

My mother in law bought one of the Pfaff Smart Machine's about 3 years ago and it does not have the IDT. And I wouldn't call it a cheap machine (it was $599), but it wasn't a high end one, either. It's a nice machine, however. I have a 20 year old 1473, it has the IDT, and I wouldn't be without it for anything!

I love my Pfaffs 7570 and 2140, both have ITD. I used ITD all the time. Pfaff is my favorite machine, if fact I would love to have another.
