Is there any way to make homemade templates? I want to buy a quilt kit but don't know what type of template it will need or if I will even be able to find one, so my question is if I find out what size circle it needs, is there a way I make one myself? Thanks to anyone who can help.

do you have any software you can use to create the circles? like powerpoint, or paint, or something similar?

if you don't have anything like that, look around online. there a many decent drawing programs available for free.

Check out your kitchen there are all sizes of circles there, all the lids are different sizes. You can also buy sets of templates that would have several different sizes of circles in them.

I never thought of the kitchen.... thanks i think i'll have to get the kit now. Sure I can find something to work, but now dh is trying to say I have too much stuff already and not enough time to quilt. I say I have a whole lifetime, so surely I'll get it done sometime, right.

I used X ray film and a cup when I needed mine. It worked great.

A compass works for circles too :D:D:D
I use old plastic lids for template materials
