    It would totally depend upon the project and the effect you want.

    Love them, want them. I would buy the mottles first, if I had the $$$!

    Easy ... If I had one of every other watercolor in my stash I would find a use for them long before I found a use for the same number of the mottles shown.

    I think a large part of each persons answer will be how they intend on using them. The Mottles have other colors introduced and the color change area is fairly large. My favorite style of quiltes are in small - very small pieces, so I have little use for large prints.

    I pick the watercolors, too altho I do like them both. But if I were buying...it would be the latter choice. Hard decisions for you.

    I love the watercolors. The others are too "blotchy" for my personal taste if pieces are larger than an inch or two.

    The 1895's are more versitile ( a batik blender) , They more of a basic than the other. But the other one is pretty irresistable.
