Before quilt heaven, I want to finish all my UFOs (which number over 100 at last count!), make all the quilts on my wish list, which is quite a few, and use up most of my stash, which is so large I'll have to live to be 200!! Also, my quilting friends and I take a quilting vacation every year and make a quilt with fabrics bought in that state and we've only done 6 states, so we have 44 more states to visit!! (Maine is coming this fall!) I'd like a quilt for every bedroom in my house, a wallhanging for every season to hang in the living room, and seasonal table runners and/or placemats for the dining room! Quilts for my daughters, step daughters and all 9 grandkids! Quilts for my best friends and more charity quilts. That's not too much to ask is it??? LOL

What wonderful wishes some of the quilters have made. I hope they are all realized, and let's stay here long enough to do them, okay? the old one

I want to keep going along, just as I am.
    I am so blessed.
    I'm happily retired
quilt when I want, as much as I want
stay up as late as I want
    sleep all I want
Come and go as I please
and I've made so many quilty friends in the last couple of years
    I'm having a ball
I wish the same for all of us and that we may quilt, plan quilts, talk about quilts, look at quilts, as long as we draw breath

well, if I'm going to quilt heaven I just want to keep doing what I do here - quilt as often as I can for whoever I can - once I get there I'll have all the time I need to do what I want to do, with all the fabric I need, with all the machines I need :)

    Before I go.....

    * I would like to see my sons happy, healthy and financially set.

    * I would like to be able to be healthy myself and go in my sleep (no pain and suffering)

    * I would love to meet some of my quilting friends from here (and they are many in numbers and world wide :D)

    * Be retired and financially set to be able to purchase what fabrics, notions, machine, etc. to create anything I would desire.

    * Most of all though, I would want this world to be a happier, healthier place for all of our families to live in.

I know, I know, nothing like asking for the moon. Just my opinions and dreams. But I'm hoping that Quilt Heaven is a long way off for me, not that I wouldn't enjoy seeing my Dad and Grandparents again, just not ready right now.

It's kind of funny reading this thread because I'm so new to quilting still, and I'm about to turn 50. I've often thought with some regret about having waited so long to get into quilting because I think of how much enjoyment I could have had all those years (decades) that I was frittering away on other things. So now I feel like I need to play catchup and get all kinds of things done before I get to the other side.

So I guess what I want to do before I go is simply do as much of everything that I can. There's so many different patterns, fabrics, projects, etc., I just want to enjoy them all before I go. :D

I have lots of "I'd like to's" but the first one that came to mind was I'd like to find room to store all my stuff and my stash.
