    I need help please.

How do I transfer my EQ quilt drawings from one pc to another? I have a lot on my desktop (which I don't use anymore) and don't know how to get them to my laptop.

I already have EQ downloaded on my lap top, I just don't know how to get what I previously have made onto another pc.

    Thanks for your help!

do you have a 'thumb' drive? or a digital camera?
if you have a digital camera, use the memory card from that to copy your files to, then take the card to your new computer and copy them there..

This is how I did something similar, but requires both computers to be able to access the internet.

I have a Google account and there is a document program. I upload the documents to Google from one pc, then access the account with a different pc and download it to the machine I need to use it on. Be sure to download into the correct folder for the program files of the software needed (EQ).

I put all my documents that I could lose in a PC crash on Google for storage, and I can access them for any pc that has the program that uses the documents/files. Saves hard drive space too!

Google is great for storage, but you can't open the docs on Google if they don't support the file extension used by your programs (EQ for example).

    Thanks every one :D

I got on the EQ forum and asked also, and got this response (just in case anyone else wants to know).

    Hi,
First you would install EQ5 on your new computer.

When installing on the new computer I would suggest doing it this way:
1 Put the EQ5 CD in your CD ROM drive.
2 Click Start > My Computer > right-click the CD ROM drive > click Open.
    3 Double-click the Install 2 folder.
4 Double-click the Setup.exe file (it will say Setup Launcher and looks like a blue computer monitor).
This should start the installation. It can help if you turn off your anti-virus software before installing.

Then you would go to your old computer: go to START > My Computer > C drive > My Documents > My EQ5.
Copy the My EQ5 folder to a thumb drive or blank formatted CD.
Take the thumb drive or CD to your new computer.
Go to START > Computer > click your thumb drive letter name or CD ROM drive letter name > right-click and choose Open or Explore, so you see the My EQ5 file on the drive.
    Select it and copy it.
Go to: C drive > My Documents > paste the My EQ5 folder here. If you've done it correctly you'll be told there is already a My EQ5 folder here, do you want to replace it? Say Yes.

Windows has a wizard that will take you step by step. Bring up Help and Support and type in how to copy/move files.

You can save it as a project file on the main drop down in EQ and then save that file to your thumbdrive, disc, or email it to your self and open it up with your other computer.
