    Default Question on EQ7

OK, I know I have made a major jump from EQ5 to version 7 I found these geese that I want to make a table runner with using Xmas fabric I have. But I only wanted 5 rows instead of 6. Having used EQ5 for so many years, I sometimes can figure out a way of making my design work. Is there any way you can redesign the block to eliminate 1 row of the geese in the sketchbook?? Hope the photos helps ask my question. The first photo I recolored the block and has been copied from my sketchbook while the second photo is the placemat I want to make. THANKS for any assistance. I an reading thru the EQ7 book. Guess EQ eliminated the Getting Started booklet.

What is the block? If that first picture is the single block I just wouldn't use that block. I would just use the half square triangle block and add as many rows as needed that way.

You should be able to go to worktable and work with quilt. If you click on the layout tab a popup comes up where you can select how many rows both horizonal and vertical that you want. When I click on layer tab it shows me the blocks from the sketchbook and I can place them where I want. I hope this helps, I'm really just starting to use it after several yrs of owning the software. A lot will depend on how you have this made

On the quilt worktable, set up a grid of 6 X 10:

Then add a half-square triangle block to each square:

Then rotate the half-square triangles to get the block layout you want:

    Then add the Christmas fabrics.

Hope this helps! I like your table runner design.

Hmmmmm - let's try this again! Not sure what happened to the diagrams.

On the quilt worktable, set up a grid of 6 X 10:

Then add a half-square triangle block to each square:

Then rotate the half-square triangles to get the block layout you want:

    Then add the Christmas fabrics.
