I've just finished sandwiching my first English paper pieced project --- a tumbling blocks pyramid. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has done one -- do I quilt around each "block" ( the top and two bottom sides together) or should I quilt around each diamond piece (each tumbling block would then have three quilted diamonds). I'm going to be quilting it by hand. Thanks for any advice.

I am a hand quilter and I like the idea that you have for the quilting!

When I did mine, I went around the block, not the three triangles, a quarter of an inch inside the seam lines.
