    Default Question: Making Chenille Project

What are your suggestions regarding preshrinking homespun fabrics when making a chenille project? I am planning to make simple pot holders in a chenille fashion and wondering whether to preshrink or not. Or wait until the item is finished and then wash (which is what I would do anyway). Thanks.

I think I would just make them bigger then I needed, chenille them, stitch around the edge and wash. I would then trim to size and decide how I wanted to bind them.

Thanks, Tatan. That's a good suggestion.
