I have a question for my Northern American friends: Where is a GREAT quilt shop in Michigan? I am looking forward to a mini-holiday and need a fix. (Tell me what you like about your fave shop too!)

    Thanks so much!

Where will you be in MI? You can Google quilt shops for that area and see what comes up :)

Gaylord Michigan has a wonderful Ben Franklin with a ton of fabric and reasonable prices. It is right on I75 Grayling a little farther south has the Ice House, I have not been there but hear it is awsome.

I live in Jackson, MI. My favorites are the Quilt Patch in Tecumseh and Quilts at the Marshall House in Marshall.

One of my favorites is the Ann Arbor Sewing Center on the outskirts of Ann Arbor, very close to I-94. Easy to get to.

If you come to the Brighton Area we have quite a few wonderful fabric shops. Jennifer's in Pinckney is a quaint cute fabric shop chocked full of wonderful fabrics. Brighton is also the home of Creative Quilt kits and they have every imaginable fabric in their store. The Stitchery in nearby Howell is also a great store and a Janome dealership. We have a huge Joann's too. There is one Just to the south of us is Ann Arbor and the Ann Arbor Sewing Center on Jackson Road and another quilt shop on US 12 so you could make a great trip to this area and satisfy any quilting needs in a short period of time!

also in Gaylord is Delphine's quilt shop, it is WONDERFUL! the Quilt House in Indian River; Calico Crafts in Petoskey; The quilt Cottage in East Jorday; The Ice House in Grayling. There is one in Cheboygan and one in charlevoix which i can not remember the names of. all are unique in what they carry, friendly, well stocked and reasonably priced. enjoy your vacation!

Michigan has a lot of great quilt shops. There is a list of them at http://miquiltresources.blogspot.com/ . Click on the tab at the top that says Quilt Shops.
