My hubby didn't do as well in Japan. He came home with some interesting (not my style) prints, but it is silk! So now I have some expensive silk fabric that I am not that fond of. Oh well. He made a valiant effort!

OMG. I used to go there all the time when I was stationed outside Stuttgart - almost every weekend, at least twice a month. LOVE the place, and the ladies are so friendly and accommodating (and patient!!). Did a soul good when I was so far from home. I found Germany to be that way no matter where I was, but the fabric shoppe was especially "homey."

Did I miss seeing what city/area he was in --so maybe the store location could be found ? I would be interested as I have a friend in Germany so this would give us a topic of conversation. You might yet get the store name to send a

I love it! Wouldn't it be fun to shop hop in Europe someday? I see your translation question has been answered!
Vernell Schievelbein in Austin (100% Amercan German) Both my parents grew up speaking German. All my sets of great-grandparents were German immigrants.
