I have never done a row quilt (where each row is a different pattern/block/theme). My question is, is there usually a sashing strip between each row, or not? I know the final decision will be what looks best to me, but I was wondering what those of you that are familiar with this type of quilt think. Thanks!!!

i've done them both ways- one row quilt was a cute novelty print in rows with a 3" wide solid row- novelty row, solid row---
another was simply rows all the same width...
you are right-it depends on you--and the rows you are using-
if they are busy you might want to break them up= or you might want to break them up if they blend too much...or you might want to add something between them just to add width to the quilt---
lots of options and as always- personal choice- every quilt is different- just like each of us is different
