Question: Quilting a wall hanging panel
If I am quilting a wall hanging panel by hand, do I use different color threads - to match the areas I am doing or quilt all one color? Such as a Halloween panel - do I quilt around Pumpkins in orange, Ghosts in white or do it all in black or white or ???. What is the usual method, this is my first time to do this.
Thanks for your help!

As dunster says, it is up to you - whether you want the quilting to stand out or blend in more. There are no hard and fast rules, but if you have some scrap fabric in the colour you want to quilt, I would definitely do a few test stitches to see how it looks before going on to the piece you want to quilt (I learned this the hard way.....). Sometimes the way you think it will look is completely different to how it actually turns out.

My favorite thread to use on halloween quilts is glow-in-the-dark thread. YLI makes some and so does Superior Threads. Very fun!!
Superior Threads - http://www.superiorthreads.com/product/Brand/nitelite/
YLI - it's called Glow Bug and available in local quilt shops
