Does the 99 have to be in a case or cabinet and can they work on table-top? I rarely see on not in case or cabinet and don't know if it has that piece that knocks if just sitting lone on a table. I have my eye on one but def don't like the case it is in. Help anyone?

There is a part under there that turns when running, and so the machine can't sit flat on a table. Because if it is, that part won't turn. I have the 99 and my Cinderella machine is the same way.So you would either need to leave it in the case, or build you something with the machine shape cut out so that part can move freely. Hope this helps.
