Well, I guess I am the "old lady" in the group; I didn't start quilting until after I retired at age 60, but am addicted to it now.

Anyway, I will be 80 in September, am now living in a retirement facility and caregiver for a disabled husband. However, against our daughters' objections I brought most of my fabric and sewing supplies with me. We were able to get a small house with 2 large bedrooms, so I have my own sewing/computer room. (Sewing and my computer save my sanity--Now, if I can just learn to say "No" to sewing requests from family and friends who think I have nothing to do!)

Just don't tell anyone how much time I spend reading messages from this group.

Good thing quilting has no age or gender

All you need is needle, thread and material - guess that makes us materialistic

What a great way to make friends and share stories of the generations. :!: :!: :!:
