Default Quick Curve and Mini Quick Curver Ruler question

    Hi,
I've been gifted with both the regular and the mini of these rulers. Can anyone tell me if there is a lot of wastage when you make up one of their patterns?
I have found the ruler itself very useful to mark arcs/scallops sort of thing either for quilting lines or for cutting a scalloped edge...

There is some waste, but it's a fun technique. And there are a lot of patterns. Here's a link to some of their free patterns. https://sewkindofwonderful.com/colle.../free-patterns

I've done three of their patterns using scraps and some yardage for the background. Chic Picnic used a lot of my leftovers.

I have the mini and have used some of the free patterns on the website (sewkindofwonderful.com). There is definitely waste, but usually the pieces fit perfectly once cut and sewn. My stash is large so I don't mind a little waste anyway. The directions have given me confidence that I can sew curved pieces using my machine - I used to do them all by applique but no longer.

There is some waste - but only due to the fact that the blocks are made oversized and trimmed down. Not much waste at all though....you have to be careful or they don't come out "oversized" enough. LOL

I finally gave away the larger template but kept the smaller one. I still hope to use that for some of their quilt patterns.

Thanks everyone, I may try one of the free patterns on a small scale to see if I'd like to plunge into something bigger...

I was thinking that if you sewed a bunch of strips together and then cut the quarter moon out and a space fabric background, you could make a planet type block. You would need to make sure you have the sewn strips going the right direction. You do not want them to have to match up.
