I got one top done for a double sized bed in three days. It was for my daughter and I did it in beach-y resort colors. The pattern is called Caribbean Dream

I think of patchwork as scrappy --- lots of different colors. So I think if it is any planned pattern and set number of fabrics it's ok.

I would get a jelly roll of batiks and make the Super Fast Jelly Roll quilt, I made one and it is fast and easy.
