    How about a small 12 x 16 pillow with a couple of pillow cases?

    I made the "housewife" type pillowcase for them.

    OK, what is the "housewife" type pillowcase???? I've never heard that term before :oops: :oops:

    This is a site that gives instructions.

    It's sort of like an envelope. The pillow doesn't fall out and it looks neater on a couch than a regular pillowcase.

    For a little pillow, I cut the fabric 13 inches wide by about 36 inches long.

    Thanks! I've made couch pillows this way and usually end up using velcro
    -- but I'm sure it's because I try to put too much of a pillow inside too little of a case :wink:

    What about a tote bag? They don't take long to make. You don't have to make it fancy with snaps/zippers and such.
