Default Quilt for 3 year old boy

I have made 2 quilts for 2 of my grandchildren. Now I need ideas for my 3 year old boy. He loves motorcycles, but also birds, Star Wars and super heroes. I think the motorcycle theme will last longer than the others but I have no ideas. Any help would be appreciated.

An I Spy with all his favourite things might be an idea.

I had the same thought as Tartan when I read your post! If the backing reflects one or a few of his favorite colors will also extend the use, but as a teacher who has been around many boys for many years an I Spy will appeal over years of growth

I would also say "I Spy". You could include all his interests in it.

If you can find a swap for "I spy" squares, it will save a lot of shopping. Check the "swaps" group on this forum to see if there is an "I spy" swap coming up. There will probably be one this summer.

Also, there is a yahoo group that does swaps about once a month. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/ISpyQuilts/info

I've made 4 of these I Spy Through Attic Windows quilts. Each was customized to the little boy's interests.

Maybe a D9P would work as you could include fabric for all the themes he likes.

I like ArtsyOne's quilt top. You might use a backing of birds.
