Does anyone else see themselves thinking quilt at unusual places. I was sitting in the front row at a conference yesterday. I kept looking at the repeat in the design in the carpet. It was real ugly but might make a great one block wonder!! I want to start my obw an it was really on my mind I guess.

Definitely! Anytime I'm in meetings at work and they get "boring", I pull out a clean sheet of paper and start designing quilt tops. I've come up with some great designs during those sessions.

I agree. I am always thinking of new things, or looking at things to give ideas for how to quilt the top. That is part of the "addiction"

Those inspirations are everywhere. My kids just laugh at me when I say "that pattern would be great in a quilt"
