    Default Quilt for a Businessman

I am needing to make a quilt for a family friend who is a businessman in a large city here in Texas. Color scheme will be golds, browns, and black. He really doesnt have any hobbies...just his businesses. Do y'all have a suggestion on what pattern to use? I've never made a quilt for a man before and I'm torn on what to make. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

When I make quilts for men, I first look at bargello patterns. They appeal to the graphic design, and are not girly. I use batiks as these are also more gender neutral.

The Atkinson pattern Fire Escape would look good in those colours.

I made the Road to Bali by legacy patterns in batiks for my nephew it came out beautiful, very masculine. The colors you are talking about would be perfect for it. The pattern uses 1 jelly roll and makes a throw sized quilt. I made mine a queen size.

I think that your color choices are right on. I'd go with something modern looking for the pattern...simple, clean lines.
