Hi, I am planning on purchasing the latest edition of Quilt in a day log cabin book, and would like to save on shipping by getting everything I need at one time, so having said all that, lol my favor and question is:
Would someone who has the latest edition of Quilt in a day Log Cabin book please tell me what size square up ruler I will need.
Thank you very very much
Pam

I went to the quilt in a day website and it seems the log cabin books on there show the 6" square up ruler on all the ones I saw. I don't have any log cabin books from her, so I can;t say for sure.

The finished block size is 14" (14 1/2" unfinished). The supply list says to get a 16" square up ruler. However, when I did this I couldn't find one that big, so I just did it the hard way by turning the blocks and squaring with a regular ruler.

I have the fifth edition and it says to use the 16 in square up ruler.
But it also says that log cabin blocks are very forgiving and stretch easily so it may not be necessary to square up your blocks.
Square up rulers are used so much that I would get the largest one you can because it will show all sizes on it so you only need the one ruler for all size blocks.
I also use it to square up my quilts before binding.
