    It's just the wording. You put 3 yards in the box but they only charge you for two. I read it the same way you did at first but it works out the same. I admit it sounds confusing and would have been better written as we first read it.

    Actually, it's they way their computer system works, so it shows the credit [the items in parentheses] separately, rather than subtracting it from the total.

    They should just advertise 35% off and minimum purchase of 3 yards. Simpler to understand.

    The way I read it was - Buy 3 yards, all the same and get the 3rd free. So if it was $6.00 a yard, the total is $12.00. I did not read it as buy 2 of 1 pattern and get a 3rd yard of another pattern free.

    No, it was three yards total - they didn't have to be the same fabric. It's too bad it wasn't worded better because it was a nice sale.
