    Default Quilt in a Day

Has anyone ordered from Quilt in a Day? I sent an email regarding an item and finally received an email saying they needed my address for shipping quote and they would get back--after a couple more emails they finally answered back and said someone would contact me early the next day--still haven't heard. Is this usual with them? I'm going to order the item from someone else today.

I don't think I have, but this is a holiday weekend for many. Maybe they are closed.

I never had a problem with QIAD. There are several shipping options available, you may have not checked one of the boxes. You always get a shipping quote before confirming the order.

I ordered EQ7 from them several years ago. I finally called and they had lost the order and said they'd get it done, but it was going to be a few days.

A week later I called and they said they were sorry, but they were understaffed and would get to it quickly.

I finally did get the package a few weeks later, but wasn't real impressed with the customer service, since two people told me they would get right on it and get it shipped, but neither of them did.

I have bought from them a few times on line and it has always been a perfect transaction in every way. I am sorry you had so much trouble, that is frustrating to say the least.

I've ordered from them numerous times and have never had a problem. Customer service has been great with any questions.

I have only shopped at the store or at their booth in the large quilt shows here. Everyone has always been very nice and helpful.

I have ordered several times over the years & haven't had any problems. I think I would call them.

It depends on the item. When I have ordered something they actually have at their shop (fabric), I haven't had a problem. But, I have twice ordered items that were drop shipped and it was a nightmare both in getting the product and even in getting info. One item was delivered almost 2 months after ordering and it was cracked. Rather than try to deal with them again, I kept it and tried to repair it. And this was a $190 item! I love Mrs. Burns and her videos always make me laugh. I may purchase a ruler on sale from her company, but not anything else no matter what the deal is.

They shouldn't have to get back to you with a 'shipping quote'. If they send it USPS, it will be the same rates as the lower 48. The only difficulty is if you have requested UPS and FedX, then it would have to go air and would require the parcel to go air. (You can't go ground without dealing with customs thru Canada.) That shipping charge could vary drastically depending on the size of the box.
