I want to make my 9 year old granddaughter a two-sided memory quilt. I am not sure to make it for a twin bed or a full size. Her favorite colors are red, pink, purple (all kinds) orange, blue (all kinds) ocean blue, baby blue, sky blue, and turquoise. She loves all kinds of insects, Dino's, animals, ocean animals, planets and stars, and flowers. She also loves to draw. I would like the quilt design to incorporate all these things that she likes. One side of the quilt will be more for child hood years and the other more grown up that she can use when she goes to college. I am open to any ideas any of you might have to suggest. :?:

I would think I would make it the bigger full size. She's not getting any smaller!

I would go with the full size so she can use it longer. Great idea for the quilt.

I agree with the full size. Maybe do "I spy" squares for the childhood side featuring the animals and stuff and on the other side use more "adult" fabric in a boxed square (center is the fabric: frame is black to make it pop) that would give that side a comtemporary feel.

You could also make the "adult" side so it has signature blocks. That way she could have the BFF's from college sign them.
