there will be a Sewing and Quilt Expo next weekend. And I was wondering if anyone who has been to one of these would be able to tell me if it would be worth going to it even if I don't take one of the classes.

    Thanks!

I have thoroughly enjoyed them when they were in my area!
There are so many things to see. Usually, they offer free demos, and all of the new machines are on display, and being used by someone, so you can see how they actually work. If you are in the market for anything, that would be a good time to compare and ask lots of questions! Sometimes, you can actually use the machines! I would go! And plan for more than a short look/see!

I always went - when I lived in the Washington DC area. I loved all the new stuff and always came home with lots of ideas. By the way - they generally give away free tickets at local quilt stores for these events (or they did in DC) - which makes it even better!!

I am going to the SEW EXPO in Puyallup, Wa this coming weekend.
I went last year and found fabrics, patterns, notions and what not and they had a beautiful large quilt display...that was worth going to me!
It was a long day just by walking through the vendor area and the quilt display.

And I'm off to the mid-Atlantic quilt expo in Virginia this weekend.

Terri, maybe you'll be there in time for next year's show!

Make sure you take your camera & take lots of pictures of all the beautiful quilts that will be on display. I always take a credit card or some cash because there will always be something you can't live without!

I should have also said, plan for a whole day. By the time you walk thru the vendors & see all the goodies & look at the quilts, the day will be over.
