Ive made a "sisters choice" all in green scraps. each block is a different green print on muslin background.
You can do sooooooo much with greens!!!! my favorite color for sure.

Since you have such a large stash of greens, how about the obvious and do a scrappy Tree of Life? Here's the link to an example (and it's done in green!!).

Check out the pattern called "Central Park". It gorgeous and uses all greens. Its a free download - I think it's from Timeless Treasures

What a surprise to find your question - just as I sat down and signed in. It's a coincidence because I just drove home, with "how can I make a green quilt, to cut down on my incredible stash of green?" on my mind. My mind said - try a 2"square nine patch (all green - scrappy) and then an 8" neutral made into a snowball block. Using greens for the corners, of course.

I thought that with the larger neutral, the actual quilting (say, a feathered wreath) could bring one's eyes to the neutral patch, with the nine-patch squares, being a compliment to the neutral instead of overpowering ... make sense? I don't know, but it did to me. I think I'll try it. Or something on that order.

OOOps, I made a mistake on my description of the size of the nine patch, I meant to say that the nine patch should of course, be the same size as the snowball block. I just got ahead of my self.

A really good pattern for greens is the Eleanor Burns, summer porch pattern. It can be found in her book Quilting for the Seasons. I found it on the site QNN.com. It was so much fun, and using her methods, went together great. I too love green and might even make another using the extra triangles cut for the first one, a first for me. The overall size is easily resized.

I have a really cute rag quilt made in the shape of a turtle. It needs 7 different green fabrics. It makes a quilt that is big enough for a young child.

I made a Scrappy Mountains Majesties quilt for a friend who was moving from Oregon to Florida.
Very easy and it looked fantastic.

When I was young and my Grandmother was teaching me to embroider, she often said: "As in nature, all greens go together" I have always remembered that,so never worry about greens 'matching' when I make a quilt! I made a log cabin scrappy green quilt, with all one side of the cabin in greens,- from light to dark, the other side of the cabin, all beige. The center squares were red. To this day, it is still one of my favorite quilts I have ever made.
