How about an Irish Chain with cream or white or a log cabin--You could do light greens on one side and dark ones on the other.

My suggestion as well!...I've almost completed an around the world that uses 10 different greens....graduated shading dark, medium, light, medium, dark, then repeating out to the corners. It is hand pieced starting at the center and adding the rounds as stairsteps. The biggest round has 19 squares of the darkest green on each side of the diamond.

There is a fabulous one in the June 2010 American Patchwork and Quilting mag, page 63.

Calls for three yds dark green print, 6 ea one yard assorted green prints and 1-1/2 brown print sashing. I have my eye on this one for sure.

I think a green/blue/taupe log cabin would be awesome.
