I put this in "Main" instead of pictures because I had so many questions about it, and so many of you helped me.

I did buy the Dritz Stitch Witchery to repair a loose seam in the middle that I noticed after I was doing the borders. I also used some invisible thread to hand sew and reinforce it. That was hard to sew with! I couldn't see it! lol!

I also used the binding method shared here, (that Angel one on youtube) and I think my corners turned out great.

I also used the advice that the Warm and Natural could be spaced 8"-10".

In other words, thank you so much for your help!

I started out with a pattern in this book: backyard bird quilts, Jodie Davis, ISBN 10: 089589-178x 13: 978-0-89689-178-4

I was lost at times as she did not give the finished dimensions for each block that was pieced together (you may remember me complaining about it). I had to splice in more fabric to make them fit together.

We tried to take a good picture of it outside, but it's cloudy, and I have a 10 year old camera, so it looks dark.

Anyhow...... thanks for your encouragement and advice. I think it's pretty nice for my 4th quilt ever, and I've only been sewing for about 1.5 yr.

    The whole thing

Thanks! I just "winged it" I quilted by using design stitches with thread that blended in on the back. Hubby says I just "winged it!" lol, so true!

Maybe I'll get better pictures this week before I give it to the friend I made it for. He made me a myrtle salad bowl to exchange. The coolest thing? He said he appreciates all the hours I put into it, and is giving me another bowl. Now, I just have to choose if I want black walnut or cherry.

Another cool thing, he was not doing his woodwork lathe work until we decided to make this exchange!

He is giving it to his wife. It's a laptop quilt. I hope she likes it!
