Hi Linda....very few companies will offer laser cut pieces as the expense would take away from their profits. Actually I prefer to cut my own pieces and like the convenience of buying kits as everything goes together so well.

I've bought both precut kits and block of the month kits. The precut kits didn't come with written directions, just a picture of the block layout and all the blocks (usually 12) all the same. Sashing or border fabrics are not included. I have numerous block of the month, Patchwork Party, and $1.00 a block kits. I bought them several years ago but failed to buy the "finishing" kits so now I have the dilemma of trying to find matching fabrics for borders and sashing. I usually bought the "Oops" kit though which give you fat eighths for the blocks in case of mistakes, but not pieces long enough for borders of sashings.

Yes generally a kit means it comes with yardage unless it is specified that the pieces are precut. I noticed on Ebay there are sellers that list kits that are precut. I hope you can find some one who can cut this kit for you.

Here is one for Storm at Sea. http://www.flynnquilt.com/shop/Pre-C...t-Sea-Kits.htm It was gifted to me and I really enjoyed it!

For the first time I bought a quilt kit. My right arm is injured (I am right handed) and I thought a quilt kit meant the pieces would come precut for that pattern. The kit arrived with yardage and pattern but I will need to cut it myself.
Was this wrong thinking? Are there different types of kits?

I agree with you. That was my thinking also. I learned as you did that a kit only contained the pattern and yardage.
Disappointing to say the least.

She uses high quality fabrics and cuts very accurately. Give her a try?
Be sure to check out her sales for even better prices.

I do know of a lady who cuts and sells quilts actually completely cut out. She will even cut your fabric for you. I have done business with her, and found her every bit as personable as Jenny Doan. Her site is : Www.fussycutter.com

I was intrigued and took a look .....
However, it appears there is nothing in stock at this time.
Perhaps she is out of business?

I am more apt to think it is the computer systems not her site. Try again tomorrow? I will too. I did send her a message asking if there is something changed. I will let you know.
