Ok, had my first top quilted and I was wondering what to put on the label. Let me know what I should put on it.

I like to put the name of quilt, the name of the designer of the pattern if applicable, my full name, the month and year it was finished and the city/state (we are on the road a lot). Also if it was for a special person/gift, I'll put that too.

I hope this helps, please post a photo of your quilt :P

I put on the name of the quilt, who it is for, my name as the maker and the date.

I usually put who it's for, my name and the date with a permanent fabric pen in whatever color goes with the backing

Same here, I keep it simple.

Thanks, this quilt is for me. I'm thinking of putting the name of the pattern, my name and the date and also put in one of the corners the number 1 and continue putting numbers to keep up with how many quilts I have done. Again, Thanks!!!

    Some also add washing/drying instructions.

I am currently labeling my 2nd quilt. I have chosen to label this quilt, which is for my husband, by embroidering a message around the perimeter of the back. My embroidered 4" border will edge the binding. It includes our names, date, location, and my message. The letters are 2" in height, and the script is my own...I lightly wrote on the fabric, and I now follow my writing with stitching.
