    Default Quilt Labels

I'm wondering about different ways to make labels for my quilts and various ways to attach them.
I would appreciate web sites, etc. for directions and supplies.

    Many thanks to you all!

I believe a quilt label could be as fancy or as plain as you desire it to be. It should have your name on it, the date you made it, and the washing instructions. If it is a gift, I would include the recipient's name. I usually use muslin for my labels and I attach it to a corner in the binding seam.

You can also make very pretty or fancy labels in EQ.

I embroider my quilt labels. Generally I put the name of the recipient and made by and the year. If it's a customer quilt I let them add whatever they want.

Here are a couple I made for my granddaughters quilts. I have an embroidery machine so it was really easy. After I stitched them out, I put coordinating fabric around the 4 edges, turned it and sewed it on the back.
