Quilt Ornaments
I have a few Christmas trees. OKAY, OKAY - I have a dozen tabletop trees, ranging from 15"-24" high, the 7' main tree and the 4' hall table tree. There might be more, but that admission will require a deal from the District Attorney.
I will photo transfer photos of my family quilts (both sides of the family) onto white fabric, reducing them to at/under 4" square; I'll use flannel for batting and back them with white fabric, onto which I'll print the quilt information (who made it, year made, etc.). The plan is to make sets for all five of us siblings, our daughters and two cousins for Christmas.
Rather than use my own set as Christmas ornaments, I'll be hanging them on the clothesline in a loooooooong pictorial quilt of a clothesline-in-a-back-yard scene still in the design stages, with plans to hang it in my laundry room.
