Do you own the quilt pounce and does it work well? Is it worth the investment?

I have the pounce and I'm not fond of it. It is messy (maybe it's just me) and as I'm working most of the design fluffs off.

Do you use the disappearing ink pens?

I do have the quilt pounce, but find it easier to use the pencils.

I have one but I've not had good luck with it. I'm taking it to Paducah with me and if I see a vendor booth selling one, I'm handing over mine and say show me!

I use the disappearing ink markers, love them. Could't quilt without them (an artist I am not).

I would like to know more about marking with markers and pencils. i am so scared to buy the wrong one. i have heard horror stories of them never coming off. Any specific brand? And what type? There are SOOOO many out there! I also thought about the pounce too

I accidentially purchased a black template marking pencil, used it to go all the borders on a white background quilt, then when it would not wipe off, I read the package and it was for making plastic templates. The pencil said wipes of plastic easy! Never again will I make that mistake.

i've bought some but haven't used it yet. i bought the chalk that washes out. not irons off.
i've read some quilters spray with hairspray to keep the chalk in place till the quilt is done and can be soaked in the washing machine.

OMG! Did you cry? You poor thing, I think I would've. This is exactly why I was asking for specific brand and type. I hope someone has some ideas.
