I'm going to opt for the 3 straight lines. I just finished a quilt similar to this and I did the 3 lines going down and across at each row..it really looks sharp. it's a contemporary quilt...go contemporary.

I like your feathers and swirls, not so much the back & forth squiggle. I like to do trailing hearts/leaves in a sashing with a small loop between; and slightly turning the leaves left and right.
