Absolutely you should show the fat quarter to the shop owner..if you don't she may never know if others don't come forward. If it was a precut then she in turn could then bring it to the attention of the company she purchased from.

Yes, do take it back. Know that others also received flawed fQ's from this cut. It is a Jo fabric.

Agree with the others to let the shop owner know....they will want to know so they can take the steps to make sure it doesn't happen again.

You should let them know. I am sure they don't know the fabric is damaged. You would be doing them a great service so that they can check the fabric they have left. I am sure they don't want that kind of merchandise to be sold at their shop.

    Hi Eddie,
I totally agree with everyone else. After all you bought this at a quilt store, not a discount sale place where you could be on the look out for things like this and avoid it. Shame on them!

I agree completely with Woody. If I were the owner, I would want to know.

I have taken things back and there was no problem. Sometimes there are flaws in fabric, I would think whoever cut up the fabric into the FQ just didn't look at it clearly.

I would tell them. How else would they know they are selling subpar materials?

I would queitly call it to the attention of the shop owner. I'm sure she would appreciate you taking the time to do so.
