headed that way on tuesday for the day with dd (no school because of the elections). will stop by jo-ann, trader joes, and hoping to find a 'new to us' quilt shop in the area.

i know about the quilting season in saline (chance we could stop on the way home). also know about the viking sewing center.

any others that are 'must visit' quilt shops?

i really don't have enough projects lined up *snicker*snort*

I just look for sites and found one just outside the city called Quilting Season. It is at 7025 E. Michigan Ave, Saline. (734) 429-2900. Give them a call and see what their hours are and maybe directions. Good luck and have a nice trip.

This list ought to give you some possibilities: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&um...e-results&cd=2 Ann Arbor is well known for its artists, so you should find some great shops there. (My kid went to the "other" University of Michigan...aka Michigan State :D ) Have a great time!!

yes, i already saw that list. doesn't help me much. one of them doesn't even exist anymore. the others aren't really 'quilt shops' (except the one in saline that i already mentioned above).

but thanks for checking for me! i'm a google finatic, too!

Sorry that didn't work out. I lived in SW Michigan, so am more familiar with the Kalamazoo area shops.
