Hubby is taking me down to Columbus for our anniversary (about 1.5 hours away). We go down for our birthdays and anniversary every year, but have never had the opportunity to see any neat shops.

Suggestions? I know there is one on...High St.? I think. But that's the extent of my knowledge on the area. We'll be going next weekend so feel free to hit me with some awesome shops!

 If you're going to be in the area, this is a great show to attend - and there's great shopping with the vendors.

North High St in Clintonville is the Glass Thimble. Red Rooster is in Dublin (Rt 161 and Corbins Mill Rd). Quilt Beginnings is on Sawmill Rd just north of Rt 161. They also have an east store just east of James Rd on East Broad St. Always in Stitches in Grove City on Broadway St. Quilt Trends on Huntley Rd which is just west of I-71 off of Rt 161 (also called Dublin Granville Rd). I'm sure that there are more, but these are the one's that I've personally been to.

The NQA show starts tomorrow (preveiw) and ends Saturday evening. Admission is $10.00 per day. Plenty of parking in the area. Parking costs are $7 - $10.00 for all day parking. They have bag sitters which costs $2.00. Well worth the trip. Plan on spending all day. I'll be posting pictures as soon as I get home.

I can't go this weekend :(. Trust me, I'd much rather be there! We have our neighborhood yard/garage sale today through Saturday, and Saturday we are showing our house. So I'm going to be manning the garage sale by day, cleaning by night, lol. I'll try to convince hubby that NQA is MUCH more important ;)

You have an awesome hubby, that will take you to fabric stores on mini vacation. My hubby does these things even after 25 years.
    You are blessed.

Clynns pretty much got them all, except The Calico Cupboard in Pataskala (East of Columbus) The local shop hop is called Quilt Spree and you can look it up online and they'll have addresses plus a few other shops in surrounding areas. Some might be on your way here! Enjoy yourself!

Miller's Dry Goods in Millersburg is fantastic, and there's a good flea market next door. It's in the heart of Amish and Mennonite country, and the whole town has several quilt and art shops as well.

Went last fall and loved it!

I LOVE the Red Rooster in Dublin.. It is my favorite store..
Also.. Not sure if you are coming down 33 at all but if you do there is store called Lonestar Quilting in Marysville OH (about 15 mins west of the Red Rooster)... She have a gizzillion bolts of fabric.

    Both shops have websites.
Have a good time on your mini vacation
