I made it to the quilt show and did find a parking space this time. They had many, many lovely quilts on display. They were beautiful. I forgot my camera too!! Such work!! I am a loss for words really. I loved them all. One was of Jesus and it was gorgeous!!!
I was good and didn't buy much. I got one applique pattern, Poinsettia Passion by Krissy Brawner from www.quiltcountry.com and bought a one yard cut of fabric plus four fat qtrs from www.contemporaryfibers.com in black background with blue, purple and white flower prints and bugs.
On the way home i stopped by JoAnns fabrics and spent a 40% coupon on a set of Aunt Millie's Garden -12 flowering blocks by Becky Goldsmith and Linda Jenkins of Piece O'Cake designs. they show the appliques done on red background and they look wonderful. I may do the same when i get around to buying all that red fabric. the quilt is to be 75x75 inches. Both applique patterns are easy ones.
not bad for an out of work quilter!!

I went to the show today as well. I posted some pics under the picture category "Quiltfest Denver Quilt Show. It was my first quilt show and my head is still spinning. The craftsmanship and the talent that goes into these quilts is amazing. I am so glad that I got to go. I found a parking place, it wasn't cold and no rain! It was a great day.
