Great show! There weren't many quilts there but the ones they had were AMAZING! Half the show was civil war quilts. NO PHOTOS ALLOWED. But I did take a few photos of the quilts we were allowed to photograph. I'm off to go take a quick photo of my haul. OF COURSE I spent way too much money but I had such a blast.

    Quilt Haul: In this photo
    1. FABRIC! snowflake batik and coordinating batik. Lorax fat quarters and panel, Key Lime Bali Pop, Fat Quarter stack in summery colors.
    2. Giant Olfa mat and new rotary cutters.
    3. "Itty Bowl" magnetic for pins
    4. Tiny sweeper for stray threads.
    5. Machingers gloves
    6. Seam Marker
    7. I don't know what it's called, but it's the long silver thing at the bottom. It's an extendable magnet for when I spill all my pins and don't want to find them with my feet/fingers.

And finally... my favorite purchase of the day...

I know I know you are probably saying "You know you can make that" but that's okay. I fell in love with this little chick!

Thanks! I love it too which is why I just couldn't leave without it. This little chick has already been put to use as I try to learn how to paper piece.

Why have a quilt show if photos are not allowed? I don't understand that. And it's impossible to enforce because many quilt pics from the show are on Facebook already. LOL I love your chicken thread catcher!

The civil war quilts weren't allowed to be photographed and the George Siciliano quilts weren't allowed to be photographed but the quilt entries were photographed all over. There were still people taking pics of the civil war quilts though. Some were trying to photograph without a flash. I don't know if they were worried that would degrade the quilts or if they were just being possessive.

my friend brenda and i just came back from hershey. what a great time! we also do alot of shopping. we hit: burkholders, martins, 2 goods shops, weavers, sauders, quilters cottage, 2-3 joann's. think that's it. by far the best is martin's. 3.79 for a flat fold. good quality material. and the selection is surpassed by none.
